The Honorary Doctorate was personally conferred upon Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai at Sathya Sai Grama on 28 December 2023 during the Fifth Annual Convocation of Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University. The convocation took place on 18 October 2023 in Mysore.
