CHANCELLOR, SRI SATHYA SAI UNIVERSITY FOR HUMAN EXCELLENCE
Sri Madhusudan Sai is a humanitarian leader whose mission of service and spirituality spans 80 countries. Since 2012, he has dedicated his life to uplifting millions through free nutrition, education, and healthcare initiatives under the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission.
Guided by the ancient Indian principle of vasudhaiva kutumbakam (“One World One Family”), Sri Madhusudan Sai envisions a world where nations, societies, and individuals support one another as family. Through his tireless efforts and inspiring leadership, he has created a model of selfless service that touches lives across continents, with Sathya Sai Grama in Muddenahalli, Karnataka, India serving as the epicentre for these global service activities.
Education:
28 educational campuses and a University in South India, as well as a school in Nigeria, provide free values-based education to over 3,700 boys and girls. Additionally, over 7,900 scholarships have been approved to encourage primary school enrolment. India’s first free private rural medical college, the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi, on March 25, 2023. This institution offers medical education to rural youths in courses such as MBBS, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences.
Healthcare:
In India, there are 12 speciality hospitals, including four paediatric cardiac hospitals, five mother & child hospitals, one multi-specialty hospital and two secondary care hospitals. Internationally, the mission operates hospitals in Fiji, Sri Lanka, and Nigeria, as well as a medical centre in the USA. These initiatives have provided life-changing care to over 36,000 children with congenital heart defects and offered outpatient consultations to over 3.5 million patients.
Nutrition:
The Annapoorna morning nutrition programme nourishes 10 million school-going children across over 147,000 government schools in India and five other countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, and Australia. To further the vision of a united world, 11 Centres for Human Development across 10 countries work towards the welfare and well-being of all as one global family. All services provided by the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission are offered absolutely FREE of charge to all, without any discrimination.
Sri Madhusudan Sai’s work and vision have had a profound impact on the world, and his dedication to humanitarian causes has earned him recognition and respect both in India and internationally. His efforts serve as an inspiring example of how spirituality can be expressed through service to humanity, transcending cultural and geographical boundaries.
