The auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated with a mesmerising performance by the Department of Performing Arts. This day, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, marks the beginning of Chaturmasya, a sacred four-month period for penance and spiritual practices coinciding with the monsoon season. Significant in Maharashtra, devotees undertake an annual pilgrimage to Pandharpur, singing abhangs in praise of Lord Vithala and Rakumai. Our students presented these soulful abhangs, echoing the Bhakti tradition.
