The research methodology workshop that was conducted in newly inaugurated Ataee Shaw Lecture Hall, Sri Sathya Sai Rajeswari Memorial Academic Block, Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, by Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence in association with NITTE (deemed to be university) K S Hegde Medical Academy, Deralakatte, Mangaluru, was an excellent opportunity for researchers, scholars, and students to gain a deep understanding of the scientific research process.

The workshop was designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of research methodology, including various research designs, data collection techniques, statistical analyses, and reporting methods.

The workshop covered both qualitative and quantitative research methods, and participants were provided with hands-on training on various data analysis tools such as SPSS, SAS, R, and NVivo.

The workshop was conducted by experienced faculty members of NITTE

The workshop sessions included lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, and group activities, which provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the research process. The sessions also covered the ethical considerations that researchers need to keep in mind while conducting research, such as obtaining informed consent from participants, ensuring confidentiality, and protecting participants' rights. The workshop emphasized the importance of choosing appropriate research designs based on the research questions, hypotheses, and variables of interest. The sessions covered various research designs such as experimental, quasi-experimental, survey, case study, and ethnographic designs. The faculty members provided practical tips on selecting appropriate data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, surveys, and focus groups, and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of each technique. The sessions also covered the importance of sampling techniques and the selection of appropriate sample sizes based on the research design and objectives. The workshop also provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of statistical analysis techniques such as descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, correlation, regression, and factor analysis. The sessions covered the importance of testing for assumptions such as normality, homogeneity of variance, and independence, and provided practical tips on how to interpret the results of statistical analyses. The faculty members emphasized the importance of using appropriate statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R, and Excel and provided hands-on training on how to use these software programs.

In addition to covering various research designs and statistical analysis techniques, the workshop also emphasized the importance of reporting research findings in a clear and concise manner. The sessions covered various aspects of research report writing such as the structure of research reports, literature review, research questions, hypotheses, variables, methods, results, and conclusions. The faculty members provided practical tips on how to write research reports that are clear, concise, and accurate, and emphasized the importance of citing sources and avoiding plagiarism.

In conclusion, the research methodology workshop was an excellent opportunity for researchers, scholars, and students to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scientific research process.
