The second edition of Bharat Sangeeta Sammelan, presented by Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence is a confluence of renowned artists who have followed their hearts and attained excellence in their musical endeavors. Musicians from different backgrounds will take the audience through the harmonious tunes of classics woven into the modern context. The Sammelan is organized to create space to discuss how different music genres lead to the ultimate experience of bliss, hence the need to make it relevant to the current generation.
The objectives are:
• Exploring how different music genres – Hindustani, Carnatic, Folk, and Western, lead to the same experience of bliss beyond the mind and senses
• Establishing meaningful connections to the roots of classical music by helping the younger generation appreciate it while also allowing the freedom to reinvent it to make it relevant to the current times
