Bridging classroom learning with real-world applications, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 students and faculty of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) recently completed a three-day industrial training program at Monarch Biotech Pvt Ltd (Unit Monarch Nuclear Counting Laboratory), Chennai.

The program provided comprehensive exposure to food, water, and environmental testing practices followed in an industrial laboratory setting. The training began with an introduction to the organization and a guided laboratory tour, offering insights into analytical instruments, safety protocols, and workflow management.

Participants engaged in hands-on water analysis, learning standard methods for chemical parameter estimation. The second day focused on food analysis and microbiology, where students practiced proximate analysis techniques and microbial testing, while also understanding the importance of aseptic conditions and laboratory safety.

The final day introduced students to advanced analytical techniques including sample preparation for HPLC and GC-MS, along with demonstrations of high-end instruments such as ICP-MS, ICP-OES, GC-MS, and HPLC. A session on radioactivity in food safety further broadened their understanding of modern testing parameters.

This industrial visit significantly strengthened students’ practical skills, analytical thinking, and awareness of quality and regulatory standards, reinforcing SSSUHE’s commitment to experiential learning and industry-aligned education.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the leadership and team at Monarch Biotech Pvt Ltd (Unit Monarch Nuclear Counting Laboratory) for their guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the training program.
