Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026 is a flagship national initiative of the Government of India, aligned with the national developmental vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The programme aims to empower youth through structured dialogue, innovation, leadership development, and direct engagement with senior national policymakers.

Event Details

  • Duration: 9–12 January 2026 (4‑day national event)

  • Venue: Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi

  • National-Level Participants: ~3,000 youth (on-site)

  • Total Nationwide Participation: 50+ lakh youth across all stages

  • Organised by: Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India (MY Bharat platform)

    Theme: Building a Future-Ready Workforce for Viksit Bharat

  1. Sarvesh S. Gurav, 1st M.Sc. Mathematics
    Theme: Atmanirbhar Bharat – Make in India, Make for the World

Both represented their respective states at the national level.

Selection Process

A rigorous, merit-based multi-stage screening:

  1. Stage I: Online Screening
    – Assessed general awareness and analytical skills

  2. Stage II: Essay / Idea Submission
    – Evaluated originality, clarity, and relevance

  3. Stage III: State‑Level Presentation & Interview
    – Assessed communication & policy understanding

In Karnataka alone, 5–6 lakh students participated; 5,000 advanced to essays; 400 reached state-level vision deck presentations.

Programme Structure & Activities

  • Orientation sessions, thematic presentations, and expert-led discussions

  • Youth policy integration via presentations to central ministries

  • Motivational talks by astronauts, sports leaders, and domain experts

  • Cultural showcase “Colours of Viksit Bharat” promoting national integration

Interaction with National Leadership

Participants engaged directly with:

  • Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji

  • NSA Shri Ajit Doval

  • Union Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya

Leaders emphasized innovation, discipline, grassroots development, and youth’s central role in shaping a Viksit Bharat.
