Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) joined hands with Bharath Adhyayan Kendra, Banaras Hindu University - Varanasi (BHU) to host the prestigious 'Sri Sathya Sai Bharat Sanskriti Samman 2023'. Sri Madhusudan Sai, founder of SSSUHE, and Prof Sudhir Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor of BHU, were the chief guests.

Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence (SSSUHE) in collaboration with Bharath Adhyayan Kendra, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) orchestrated the prestigious 'Sri Sathya Sai Bharat Sanskriti Samman 2023', a momentous occasion celebrating the unwavering commitment of individuals and institutions to the timeless wisdom of Indian Vedic heritage. At a time when India’s rich cultural heritage is slowly disappearing, the Founder of SSSUHE – Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai conceived a platform to spotlight the tireless efforts of these unsung champions dedicated to preserving our intrinsic Indian identity and fostering a deep connection with the Sanatana Samskriti.

This celebration honoured individuals and institutions committed to India's Vedic heritage with gold medals, citations and prizes across three categories - Students, Teachers and Gurukulams – were Master Krishnakant Shadangi (Andhra Pradesh), Prof Dr Yugal Kishore Mishra (Uttar Pradesh), and Shri Pattabhiram Shastri Vedmimansa Anusanshadhan Kendra (Uttar Pradesh), respectively. These exceptional individuals and the gurukulam were meticulously chosen by an eminent jury panel comprising luminaries such as Prof Ramachandra G Bhat (Chairman, Veda Vijnana Shodha Samstha), Prof K E Devanathan (Former Vice Chancellor, Karnataka Samskrit University), Prof Kishore Mishra (Sanskrit Literature Faculty, BHU), Prof Hriday Ranjan Sharma (Vedic Science Faculty, BHU), Prof Sadashiv Kumar Dwivedi (Sanskrit Literature Faculty, BHU) and Dr Naveen Bhat (HOD Sanskrit and Vedic Literature, SSSUHE), all renowned and leading names in their respective fields.

Vice Chancellor Jain emphasised the value of diversity between institutions, saying fresh approaches to education can emerge from new universities like SSSUHE collaborating with 100-year-old ones like BHU.

In his message, Sri Madhusudan Sai described the bond between the universities as "new leaves emerging from an ancient tree." He remarked that vedic culture must be protected and propagated worldwide, with all aligned institutions merging like rivers into an infinite ocean. He offered scholarships to students at BHU who are pursuing vedic studies.

The awards aim to create greater awareness of heritage among younger generations. This memorable event revived the ideal of imparting timeless wisdom, beyond commodification of education.
